    Folio 159 - John Lawrence of Eyworth, husbandman, made 5 Apr., pr. 12 May 1546. Burial in parish churchyard of Eyworth. To the high altar there for tithes and oblations forgotten 4d.; to the mother church of Lincoln 1d.; to the upkeep of Eyworth bells 4d.. To son Nicholas the best pan and 5 quarters of barley. To son John 5 quarters of barley. To daughter Margret 3 quarters of barley. The bequests of barley to be paid within 8 years, and should testator's wife remarry within the 8 years, then she is to find security to testator's brother-in-law John Saver for the 13 quarters of barley. To son William 3 quarters of barley, and should he die before he reaches the age of 20 then the legacy to go to his mother. Should any child die with the 8 years, then their share to go to the survivors. To each of John Sawer's children a bushel of barley. To Thomas Palmer a violet jacket and a pair of hoses. Brother in law John Sawer be supervisor of the will he to have besides his costs and charges 6s. 8d. Wife to till and dress the "greyne" land and save, fell and carry (according to testator's command) to his mother for one year, and testator's mother to find the seed and mow and carry it this year. Residue to wife Alys who is executrix. Witnesses sir John Lambe, Robert Beytton and Thomas Graunt.
