"I bequeth my soull unto allmeghtie God to our lady sanct Mary and to all the holy compeny of heven And my body to be bered in the churche yerd of sanct Peters of Arlyshey". To mother church of Lincoln 2d.; to the high altar for tithes and oblations forgotten one bushel of wheat; to the Sepulchre light a bushel of barley; to the Rood light a bushel of barley; to the torch light 2 bushel of barley to the bells 2 bushel of barley. To son Richard after death of testator's wife Alys a house and 15 acres of free land belonging to the said house, and four score acres and more of copyhold held after custom, to hold to him and his heirs. Should son Richard die without issue, the property to remain to testator's daughter Jone and to her heirs, and should she die without heirs then property to go to the next of kin of testator's wife. Wife Alys, who is sole executrix, to have all testator's goods for her lifetime, and she to dispose of them as she wishes for the health of the souls of testator and all Christians. Testator's son Richard to be Overseer. Witnesses William Pytman vicar, Thomas Baldocke senior, Richard Wright, Thomas Royee.
