    Folio 142 - William Bayes of Temysford, made 15 Jan. 1545/6, pr. 8 Apr. 1546. "hole of mynd and in good and perfyte of Remembrance thanked be Allmeghtie God nevertheles secke and weke in body by the Vicitation and handywork of God to whome be geven all honor and glory… I bequeth my soull humblely to Allmeightie God my creator and Redemer and my body to be bured within the churche yerd of Temysford". To high altar for tithes forgotten 12d.; to mother church of Lincoln 2d.; to the Sepulchre light 12d.; to the Trinity altar and to St. Kateringes altar in the same church 4d. each. To the maintenance of the bells 12d.. To youngest son Thomas Bayes and his heirs the messuage or house that he now lives in with appurtenances and testator's purchased land. All moveables, goods and chattles to be divided between John Bayes, testator's eldest son, and Thomas Bayes, the youngest son. Thomas Sheffild gentleman, senior, owes testator 20s. 8d., which is to be divided between the two sons. His executors are to be his two sons, with Robert Parken as supervisor. Witnesses sir William Wilson chaplain, Richard Parken, Thomas Lewes, William Malyn.
