    Folio 123d - Thomas Bonyon' of Hawnes, made 18 July 1544 pr. 26 Nov. 1545. "I bequeth my Soull unto the great Mercye of Allmeghtie God"; burial in the church yard of Hawnes. To son John 6 oxen, 4 horses with a cart and cart gear, and plough and plough gear both for oxen and for horses. To son John also three score sheep save one, and for these son is to pay to Thomas Kympton of Hawnes at Michaelmas next £6. To son John a number of debts owed to testator: viz. 40s. that Symon Clark of Edworth owes for horses that he had of testator; 4s. from Thomas Walleyr of Hawnes; 4 quarter of dried beans from Hawll of Howghton; 5s. from Mother Tayler of Hawnes; 16d. from Thomas Whytaker of Hawnes; and 22d. from Robert Taler of Howghton; To son John also 6 colts and 5 steers and a bull. To two daughters Elzabeth and Agnes all the barley that testator bought of Thomas Kympton, valued at £8; coming to 3 quarters and 6 bushel of barley. To brothers John and Richard the "dewghtie" that Richard Cotun (who sometime lived in Shefford) owes testator for malt, being 5 marks and 16d.. To wife Jone 8 milch kine, 2 heifers and all the crop that testator sowed himself. Remainder to wife Jone, sole executrix, overseers Davy Borne and Thomas Gogyn'. To Davy Borne for his pains a black ambling colt, and to Thomas Gogen 6s. 8d. To Master Bayllyff of Hawnes testator's best black cow desiring him to be good to testator's wife and children. Overseers to hold goods given to children until they are of an age to marry. Share of any child dying before then to be divided between survivors. To vicar of Hawnes a bushel of barley at Michaelmas next. Witnesses Thomas Crossedayll vicar of Hawnes, John Harwold, Davy Borne, Robert Bowghton.
