Folio 113 - Edmund Gillett of Staploo in par. of Eton [Socon] made 7 pr. 20 Oct. 1545. Burial in church yard of Eton; to high altar for tithes forgotten 6s. 8d.; for a priest to sing a trental of masses in Eton church 10s.; to the upkeep of the bells of Eton 20d. To son John and the heirs of his body his house and all his lands, in default of heirs to son Robert and heirs of his body, in default to testator's two daughters Alys and Margery and their heirs. To daughter Alys a cow; to daughter Margery 4 kine; To kinswoman Jone Chanon two 3 year old bullocks. To George Tayler a cow. To Edmund Symson one year-old bullock. To Agnes Gillett two two year old bullocks, a brass pot and the pot lid. Residue to be divided between sons John and Robert Gillett, and they are to be executors. Supervisor Thomas Gervys.
