    Folio 88 - John Fenseham of Dunstable, smith, made 19 May pr. 26 Sept. 1545. Burial in the parish churchyard of St. Peter in Dunstable. To mother church of Lincoln 4d.; to the high altar of the parish church of Dunstable for repairs and maintenance 12d.; to a priest to sing for the souls of testator, his wife and all Christians for a whole year £6. To the casting of the great bell £6. Every year for the next 10 years 10 loads of stones are to be laid between the Town's End of Dunstable, and the lane going towards Howghton. To his daughter Alys Burton his best anvil and his best silver salt bar one, and his sorelled horse; to Richard Burton 6 silver spoons of the second sort next the best, testator's best gown, best doublet and best jacket, and £10 in money to be paid at the end of twelve months To Robert Burton the best silver cup save one. To Elzabeth Burton a featherbed and a coverlet, blankets and sheets with other necessary things belonging to it. "Also I geve Fenseham of Hayrne my old gowne". To Thomas Jane his best tawny coat. To Margret, Ezabell and Anne Gregory, his maids, 3s. 4d. each, and to Anne Hobton 3s. 4d.. To every godchild in Dunstable4d. each. To William Seman a tawny coat. To William Wright a fustian doublet and a flaxen shirt. To his brother John Freman all the implements and tools appertaining to testator's shop, the best anvil only excepted. To the said John Freman his brother and to Elezabeth his wife testator's shop with the house adjoining standing in the North Ende of Dunstable, to hold to John and Elzabeth Freman and their heirs for ever, on condition that they keep testator's sister Agnes Freman for her lifetime with meat and drink and necessary clothing. Residue to wife Jone, executrix, she to do for testator's soul as she thinks convenient and necessary, and James Tyde supervisor, he to have 20s..
