    Folio 13d - Thomas Okeley of Markegat in the parish of Cadington made 21 Mar. 1543/4 pr. 16 June 1544. Soul to Almighty God, and burial within the churchyard of Cadington. To the high altar of same church for tithes forgotten 12d.; to the mother church of Lincoln 2d.. Wife to have all the goods which she brought with her. To wife 6 couples of sheep, a cow, 12 quarters of malt, all the wood in the yard, with all testator's wood "lying a brode" and all his wheat. To his eldest son 6 sheep; to dau. Elzabeth a ewe and a lamb. To youngest son John a table, a form, the best brass pot, a basin, 2 platters, a "seller" of a bed, a black seamed sheet, a pair of sheets, the cupboard in the hall, testator's best gown and best doublet, a pan, the best coffer, a pillow, a pillowbere. To son Thomas his best basin, 2 pair of sheets, his best coat and a silver spoon. To son John his best mattress. To wife Jone a coverlet, a cow and store [sic]. To daughter Elzabeth a featherbed, a bolster, a coverlet, a pan, a basin, a posnet, 2 pair of sheets, a coffer, a pillow and a pillowbere. To Robert Asshebe a coat and a doublet. To daughter Jane 2 candlesticks, 2 pair of sheets, 2 pewter dishes, and 6s. 8d. in money. For a trental of masses 10s.. To John Wright a sleeveless coat, and to John's wife a bushel of wheat, 2 bushel of barley and a bushel of malt. To testator's son Thomas a pillow and a pillowbere. Residue to be bestowed for the health of his soul, as his brother Roger and son Thomas shall think best. Son Thomas to be executor and testator's brother Roger supervisor.
