    Folio 4d - John Swetbone of Cardington made 24 Sep. 1543, pr.11 Jan. 1543/4. Soul to "Criste Jesu my maker to our lady saint Mary and to all the blessed compeny in heven". Burial in churchyard of Our Blessed Lady in Cardington. To high altar for tithes forgotten 12d.; to mother church of Lincoln 4d.; to maintenance of the bells 12d.; to the Sepulchre light 12d.. To each of his daughters 2 quarters of barley that is to say Margret, Jone, Alys, Elezabeth the younger and Elzabeth the elder "the wyffe of John Pottey" one quarter barley. To son Robert Swtbone a quarter of barley. To every daughter that is Margery, Jone, Alys and Elsabeth the younger a bullock. To son John half an acre of land. To daughter Margery Motley the wife of Thomas Motley half an acre of land. To daughter Elzabeth the younger a rood of land, and the 5 roods of land lie in Est Cotton Filde, which land once belonged to Alys Hillys. Should any piece of this land be sold, testator wills that it be sold to son Thomas Swetbone or to his heirs. Residue to wife Alys and son John, whom testator hopes will occupy the said husbandry together as long as they can agree together. Should either marry, then testator's goods are to be divided equally between them. Wife Alys and son John executors. Witnesses Symon Tayler testator's curate and ghostly father, John Werren, William Heldingby and Robert Huckell.
