- TitleI thought I had not heard of you lately and am glad to get your letter. I am getting very blind & writing letters and reading them is a great difficulty & I have no one to help me. The 2nd of Sept would not [do for a visit] as it is the day my chef & his wife return from their holiday and I could not feed you. The previous week I might manage, though I only have a person from the town to cook for all of us. There are a lot of Country Lifes awaiting you to take them. I am getting very feeble. I should like to see you if it were possible. I know you can seldom get a day off.
