- TitleThanks for yours. You must indeed be busy. So have I lately. I have had my younger son and his family to stay. I shall be very pleased to see you but the first half of August I shall be having my grandchildren & their mothers to stay. After that I should be more free, but I have to do my best to amuse the young people. I cut some more hay yesterday and it has cut out well but wont be quite prime. There have been so many storms. I have had two cows calving lately & another due tomorrow, so I am fairly flush of milk. We have had a lot of Fetes lately, political & agricultural. I fear there will be fine crops with no hands to harvest them. I am very much interested in what you tell me of local financial matters. You must have enjoyed having your parents with you, but it is difficult to get food for ones friends, at least so I find. I hope you are all well yourselves. I feel a bit limp in this warmer weather. This government are doing a lot of harm but don't seem to dare to go to the country.
