I am sending you a book that has lately been published on dogs, that I think will interest you. It does not so much deal with the dog as with the uses of them and may prove useful to you when you get one that is sure to suit you. A good many breeds are very useful in their own countries but are unknown over here. I hope you may hear of something really intelligent and to your liking soon. My friend who told me of Mr Cape's depot seems to have secured a very promising animal of ten months old, over distemper, which would be a great asset. So many puppies die of distemper. I am glad it has turned warmer again. They were lucky in the weather for the wedding yesterday. [Princess Elizabeth & Prince Philip]
