"Thanks for your letter of the 25th. My foot is better thank you but I have not yet started going out on it, but this I hope to do in a day or two. I am interested to hear about your working up your Firm's business. I should much dislike that sort of work & hope you will get through it comfortably, you did tell me that you were invalided out of the army but I hope for only slight cause and that you enjoy good health. I have met people with anodised ulcer trouble, including one of my sons, but they seem to make thorough recoveries. At first only light meals of eggs & milk and nothing twice cooked, but later all seems well with care, as I hope may be in your case. I have a new servant also invalided out aged 26 years. He has been with the Military Police in Malta for 5 years and also in Algiers for two years. He has some internal trouble but not serious. I hope you will get your pension which you thoroughly deserve. I know it is impossible to get extra copies of "Country Life" one or two have been sent to me under strict promise that I return them without delay. The Editor Mr.Christopher Hussey is a cousin of mine, nut I know he can't help. I hope the child will arrive soon. It is always a comfort to get those events comfortably over. The days are getting longer and more Spring like. It is very difficult to get anything that one wants now especially in clothing, the coupons are so very limited. All good wishes to you for all events".
