Letter from Alan Tindal Lennox-Boyd, 1st Viscount Boyd of Merton to Andrew Underwood: - "he was very glad to hear of the handsome legacy for Ampthill Church from the late Miss Amy Preston, and also that through selling the Curate's house they now have a considerable sum of money in hand; - he was very distressed that there was no monument to Sir Anthony Henry Wingfield in Ampthill Church and noting that his two sons, Anthony Edward Foulis and Cecil Andrew Foulis were both now dead; - Anthony Edward Foulis' son Jervis had died tragically but may have left children; - Patricia, Jervis' sister used to work for the Save the Children Fund but was now Princess Dmitri Galitzine; - Cecil Andrew Foulis had never had children but he adopted a daughter who took his name; - some of these people might make a small contribution to a memorial
