    Folio 57 - see also ABP/R11 Folio 50d - Richard Howse of Toternoo made 1544, pr. 26 Jan. 1544/5. Burial in church yard of Toternehooe. To the mother church of Lincoln 2d.; to the high altar in Toternehoo church a bushel of wheat; to the Rood light a bushel of malt; to the building of the steeple 6s. 8d.. To daughter Elzabeth 10 quarters of barley which his wife is to deliver within the next 4 years, and his wife to make them into malt, and the 10 quarters of malt to be sold and more barley bought and turned into malt to profit his daughter, until she comes of age. To his daughter also 2 cow bullocks which her mother is to keep until they have calves, and her mother to have the profit for 3 years in return for keeping them, and after that they are to be hired out on behalf of his daughter. To daughter also 40s. in money to be paid by his wife when the girl is married To wife the "tack" (lease) of his tenement for life, then to daughter Elzabeth, and should both wife and daughter die then the remainder of the lease to be sold and used for their souls. To daughter Elzabeth the cupboard in the hall and the best ewe and lamb, and the best "pugg". A trental is to be sung in Toternhoo church and a yearly obit of 20d. for souls of self and his friends and all Christians. To the child that his wife is carrying testator's best cow and 6 quarters of barley. He wishes for 6 loads of flints to be laid before his gate in the high way. To John Howse 4 quarters of barley, which he wants Thomas Howse the son of William Howse of Sewell to have in his hands and use to his profit until the boy comes to the age of discretion when he can use them himself. Remainder of goods to wife Alys and Thomas Howse (to whom 20d.) his executors, with Thomas Lovell supervisor. Witnesses Henry More, Simon Hensman, Thomas Bayly of Tyllysworth, Thomas Eme of Howghton.
