    [f. 23] (see also ABP/R 6 f. 39) Octavyan Blackeburn made 13 Aug. 1540, proved 10 Sept. 1540. Burial within the sanctuary of St. Pollys church in Bedford. To the church of Lincoln 4d.. To sir William Knight his best gown, a pair of flaxen sheets, a round table. To sir Richard Elmer a chalice, a mass book, 3 altar cloths, a "superatare"and a vestment. His executors are to ask William Furth for a standing cup with a cover of silver and gilt and 6 silver spoons which testator lent to him "And before all thes wytnes the cuppe and the cover with 6 sylver spones that they be my owen an that I owe hem never a peny, ne all the worlde, And thes Jewelles and all other stuffe And implementes I geve them to my executors to disspose as they thyngke beste for the helth of my soul and all Cristen soulles".
