    [f. 14] (see also ABP/R 6 f. 191) Master William Ussher of Temysford priest made 25 Feb. 1539/40, proved 4 Mar. 1539/40. Burial in the church or church yard of St. Peter of Temysford. To the front of the high altar an altar cloth price 5s.; to the Sepulchre light 8d.; to the bells 4d.; to every priest that says mass and derige for testator's soul 4d.; to every clerk that reads or sings in the town 3d. each and to every child that sings there ld.; to buy bread to be given to poor people in the town 6s. 8d.. To cousin "Mt." Palmer the gown furred with "Feches" and the best cap. Cousin sir John Ussher to have tawny gown furred with black lamb, a cloth tippet and a sarsnet tippet of "wenes". To sir Robert Whyt his London russet gown and a cloth tippet. To cousin Elzabeth Grove [?Grone] a black gown lined with summer lining. Robert Marston to have testator's old frieze gown, a leather doublet, and a pair of hose. To John Wenelocke 2 short gowns and a pair of russet hose. William Fegian and Elzabeth Fegian each to have 20d. and Elzabeth to have a diaper towel and 3 napkins. To Mawdelen college at Oxford any timber lying in the yard to build the houses there. Residue to cousin John Ussher of Hokyngton, sole executor to use for souls. Supervisor Master John Colbecke who is to have 3s. 4d.. Witnesses Master Thomas Phyllippe parson the same town, sir Robert Whyt, Robert Marston, William Walpoll of Todlow with others.
