[f. 1] (also ABPR/6 f. 1) Richard Reys of Potton made 14 Oct. 1538, proved 5 Aug. 1539. Burial in parish churchyard of Potton. To wife Agnes his house and land in the town and fields of Potton for life; and all moveable goods. Wife to give to son Water on his marriage £20 "and yff he will not mak no bisines for the sayd howsse and landes, and yff he will then that the sayd Water shall have nothing at all". To testator's father William Rys 26s. 8d. a year for life charged on the house. Son sir Robart Reys to be kept at school until he is made a master of arts. Son William Reys to have £10 and daughters Jone, Alys and Margret Rys each to have 20 nobles, and each child to be heir of the others. Executrix wife Annys, and supervisor Rychard Clarke of Gamnethgay, he to have 6s. 8d.. Witnesses ?John Pylgraige and William Alwen.
