  • Title
Draft letter from John Thomas Green to Edward Bygott: "Mr.Latham has informed me that your Client was a party to the suppression of his incumbrance [struck out] This matter requires more explanation than I have received & perhaps you will give it to me. Mr.Latham informs me that "the gentleman who was acting for Mr.Percival suggested as the Deed bore no date & had not been handed over to Mr.Percival it might be kept out of the Title" and Mr.L. in reply to requisitions on Title has stated there was no mortgage on the Woburn property. If there is any truth in the [struck out] above statement is true your client was agreeing to the contract of Mr.Latham and is bound by it and the Release must be completed before the date of the conveyance Deed which was sent to Mr.Latham in Decr last year. The purchasers at former sale (& which have been completed) require to have Releases the costs which must be borne by Cobb's Estate. I have asked Mr.Latham for information establishing who it was that was acting for Mr.Percival when the suppression was agreed upon but I can get no reply from him"
