Letter from Charles Dymoke Green at Oaklands, St.Albans [Hertfordshire] to "Fred" [Frederic Thomas Tanqueray?]: "I am sorry to have been so slack when looking over the proposed Memo for endorsement on Deeds to have omitted to notice what Clause 3 was. But on reading the two side by side I find it is one I had no intention of giving up. I sent for Charlie T. and he quite agrees with me that I should have the power to appoint George to 2 1/2 whenever desirable and not obliged to wait for my death to inherit them. Charlie will see Henry tomorrow and propose that I mark the margin of endorsement "Clause 3 to stand CDG CWT WHT" That will do will it not? I told C.T my view of the thing from first to last (as I wrote you) and he could not but admit that I was correct"
