Letter from Florence Exdaile Clarke at Triscombe Cottage, Longton [Staffordshire] to Frederic Thomas Tanqueray: "My mother died on the 18th of August /86 her will was proved in the District Registry at Northampton on the 1st December /86. I thought I had furnished you with these particulars, of course, I can send the Probate if required, as I suppose you could soon return it me - but with the prospect of this other sale I would sooner not part with it until it is asked for. The Purchaser's Solicitor seems a long time completing the purchase".
