Letter from Maria Thorp at Aspley Guise to Frederic Thomas Tanqueray: "I find it necessary to consult you further respecting my last Will. Can the clause relating to Mrs.T.Corder and the Downings be revoked by a Codicil? Circumstances have developed respecting the D's which render it quite undesirable that they should share in anything that I may leave. I wish to leave an annuity for Mrs.Corder, I believe her age is about 72 or 3 and I suppose £500 at such an age would produce a sufficient sum, but I shall hear further from you. I am asking entirely on my own judgement but have been in correspondence with Mr.& Mrs.Fredc Corder"
