To H R J Swaffield from Benjamin Swaffield (uncle), Pilsbury, Derbyshire. Glad to hear HRJ had got on so well at the agricultural meeting. Has not heard from them for a long time would like Mrs Swaffield to visit. 'Glad to hear (by chance) that [Mrs] Swaffield had got well over her confinement....we are about as usual in health but I have been quite confined to the house during this very very severe winter'
