    Folio 154d sir Richard Rogers parson of Holcot, made 16 May 1543, proved 10 July 1543. He wishes for Christian burial as thought most expedient by his executors. To the bells, torches and Sepulchre light 20d.; to the mother church of Lincoln 4d.; to every godchild 4d.. To Thomas Wheder son of Thomas Wheder late deceased a feather bed, a bolster, a blanket, a covering, a pair of flaxen sheets, a pillow, 4 brazen pots of which one remains with Thomas' mother, a great chest, a "fosser", a two year old cow bullock with a cut tail, a latten basin, a pewter basin, two ewers (one latten, one pewter), 2 bell candlesticks. To the Brotherhood of Cranfield a cow bullock aged 3 years. To John Golding and John Dill once his servants, a bullock each. To his servant John Hancocke a ewe and a lamb. To the highways in Holcot Stret 3s. 4d.. Master Richard Strayton parson of Aspley is to have testator's best long gown, provided he gives to John Cesse of Craunefild money for a coat cloth. The said parson of Aspley and John Cesse are each to have 10s. for their work in executing the will, apart from their costs. Residue to Master Richard Strayton, parson of Aspley and John Cesse of Craunefild who are executors, and they are to provide a priest to sing in the parish church of Holcot for the souls of testator, and of Master Thomas Shered esq. and his wife Margaret, Robert Roger and his wife Agnes, Richard Wheder and his wife Alys, and all Christians.
