    Folio 131d John Prior of Barton in the Cley, made 16 Sep. 1542, pr. 12 Oct. 1542. Burial in the church yard of St. Nicholas in Barton; to the high altar for tithes forgotten 2 bushel of barley; to the bells 2 bushel of barley. To wife Elzabeth half an acre of land of Long Furlong, a half acre of Short Furlong, a half acre of Brocke Furlong in the Northfild, Also a half acre in Rodworth and two half acres on the Hills, of which one is at Stony Furlong against the Holye Busshe and the other against Kytcrofte, in the Est Hill. His son Jamys is to till and dung the land at convenient times, at his own cost, as if it were his own land. To Elzabeth Layne a cow, a bullock, a quarter of barley. Son Jamys to find testator's wife meat and drink and sufficient cloth. To Thomas, testator's son's son, a quarter of barley, and to son's other children 2 bushel of barley each. Residue to wife Elzabeth and she to be executrix with son Jamys executor. Witnesses Richard Huckell, Bartholomew Filler, John Burrage, Edmund Harve.
