  • Title
    Folio 126 Thomas Spycer of Stoppesley made 16 May 1538, proved 14 Oct. 1542. "I bequeth my soull unto Almeghtie God". Burial in the church yard of Our Lady in Luton; to the high altar for tithes forgotten 16d.; to the mother church of Lincoln 2d.. His burial is to be done "aftur the beste maner according to the custome and maner of the churche of Luton and at my month tyde in lyke maner". Residue to wife Margret Spycer, executrix with sons Richard and John Spycer executors, and to each son 20s. Witnesses sir Robert Bysshoppe parish priest, Thomas Jakes the younger, Edward Spycer, Cristopher Pegat.
