    Folio 125 John Fesand of Kardington alias Karyngton, made 9 Sept. 1541, proved 1542. "I commend my soulle to Criste Jesu and to all the holy compeny in heven the wiche Jesus Criste is my maker and Redemer in whome and by the merytes of whose blessed Passyon ys all my hole truste". Burial in the church yard of Kardington; to the high altar of Cardington 4d.; to the repair of the highways about Cardington, especially between Cardington and Fenleick a quarter of malt; to the bells of the church 8d.; to the Sepulchre light 8d.; to the mother church of Lincoln 2d.. To his son Robert Fesand a bullock and all testator's wearing gear, also 10 quarters of barley and the barley is to be delivered within 10 years after testator's death, that is one quarter a year. To William Fesand, Robert's son, a bullock. His wife Jelyan and son John are to have the residue of his goods, and are to carry son Robert's hay and wood home for 10 years, and they are to have for Robert one acre of land tilled ready to be sown. Wife and son John are to occupy his property together for as long as they can agree, and if they do not agree, or if his wife remarries, or if his son marries, then the goods are to be divided between them, the wife to have the first choice of everything.
