"I bequeth my Sowle to Almeghtie God". Burial in the church yard of St. Peter in Temysford; to mother church of Lincoln 2d.; to Temysford high altar 4d.; to the Trinity altar there 2d.; to the bells 4d..
His wife is to keep possession of his house and land while she remains single and keeps the buildings in repair. If she remarry, then his property to be divided beween his children, that is:
to son John Samon his house and 3 leys in testator's close lying next Normanes Leyes and 1 acre in Cranefyld on Hungar Hill, and another acre on Lake furlong and 1 acre in Plasshe furlong and 2 roods at Stone Brege at Grenediche furlong. John Samon is to give his mother (if she remarry) half an acre of land where she shall choose, of which he is to take her each year to wherever she dwells the harvest from this land.
to son Robert Samon 2 leys with the orchard and the hempland from the street down to the Marsh; also one acre of land in the Cranefilde in the Badomes; also one acre in the Sowe Field whereof 2 roods abut on the Cawsey, and the other 2 roods at the Churche Ende Towns end. In the North Mede he shall have 3 roods of meadow.
to his dau. Agnes Samon a cow and 6 quarters of barley, of which 3 is to be given to her this year, and 3 the next year. Also a brass pot, a kettle, 4 pewter platters and a coffer.
Remainder to his wife who is his executrix, and to his Overseers John Samon the elder and sir Robert Whyt, who are witnesses with Robert Parken and others.
