Scope and Content
Burial in the church yard of Kempston; to the mother church of Lincoln 2d.; to the high altar of Kempston 16d.; to an honest priest to sing a trental in Kempston church for the souls of testator and all Christians immediately after her death 10s.; to the Sepulchre light 2 sheep; to the Rood light 2 sheep; to the torch light 8d.; to the upkeep of the bells 8d.; to Kempston church repairs 6s. 8d.; to be distributed to poor people 10 bushel of corn and malt.
For the repair of the North bridge 16d..
To her brother John Smyth her part of their crop and tilth and her share of the cart and cart gear and plough and plough gear, 2 oxen and a cow. To sister Elzabeth Smyth a cow. To Alys Lenton a cow, a two year old bullock, 2 sheep, 2 pair of sheets (one harden and one flaxen), 2 pillow beres, a brass pot, a coffer, a pewter dish and a platter. Edward Lenton is to buy a mattress and a coverlet, price 6s. 8d., and given them to Alys Lenton as a gift from testator, he to use part of the money he owes to testator.
To John Smyth the younger, Robert Smyth and William, the residue of her household stuff, and the residue of her cattle, to be divided between them, each to be heir to the others.
To John Lenton a cow and 2 bushel of barley and half an acre of tilth. To the rest of Edward Lenton's children a ewe and the increase from her.
Residue to her brother John Smyth, sole executor.
Supervisor Edward Lenton, and he to have the rest of the money he owes to testator.
