    Testament Burial in the church yard of All Hallowes in Lytlington; for his mortuary as due and right; to the mother church of Lincoln 4d.; to the high altar in the church of Litlyngton for tithes forgotten 12d.; an honest priest is to celebrate masses and other suffages in the church of Lytlington for three quarters of a year for the souls of the testator and his good friends and all Christians, the priest to have £4 for his work, and to begin within the space of half a year. His son Richard Bedcot is to pay the £4 out of the house and lands in Bowden Ende, and is to pay another £4 sterling to the use of the township of Littlington, where most need is. To William the son of John Bedcote of Regemont £3 6s. 8d.. To Elzabeth Bedcote dau. of testator's son William Bedcote 40s.. To John the son of testator's son Richard Bedcote 20s. sterling. To his dau. Agnes Bedcot £10 to be paid in three payments: at next Easter £3 6s. 8d.; at the following Easter £3 6s. 8d.; and at the next Easter £3 6s. 8d.. Money legacies are to be paid at the age of 18 years, and if any child die before then, their share to go to the next brother of sister at the age of 18. To wife Jane Bedcote 26s. 8d. a year for life, and all testator's household stuff for her life, after which household stuff is to go to testator's dau. Agnes. To wife Jone a cow or the price of a cow. To Wlliam the son of testator's son Thomas Bedcot late of Ampthill, dceased, 12d., and to the 2 daughters 4d. each. To Elzabeth Hill "my Valentyne" 4d.. To every godchild 4d. to be paid at testator's month's day. Residue to be used at the discretion of John Hill of Lytlington and John Wright of the same place, executors. Supervisor John Medelton of Lytlington, each to have 3s. 4d.. Witnesses John Franckelyng senior of Marston Morten, Henry Mathew of the same place, John Jenkinges senior of Stepeyngley. Will As to testator's freehold and copyhold property in Lytlington: To his eldest son John Bedcote: - the tenement, close, croft, 4 and a half acres of arable in Batelden Ende of Lytlington lateThomas Whytes, deceased; and - the tenement with an acre of land and a half acre of mead in Throppe Ende of Lytlington. To his son William Bedcote: - half a yard land in Marsshe Ende of Lytlington at the bridge, which was late Thomas Whytes. To his son Richard Bedcote, on condition he pays all testator's debts and legacies: - the tenement where testator dwells with lands appertaining to it. - a half yard land called Godderdes Ende which testator bought of John Bull - a tenement in Bowden in Lytlyngton where John Dunstall now lives, and all the lands going with it - a close called Littell Brache in Lytlington. To his dau. Agnes Bedcote: - a house and a close in Westewod in Lytlington, held customarily. To youngest son Thomas Bedcot: - a close called Cluddes close, to be held customarily. Those having leases of property by indenture shall continue to enjoy them undisturbed. Testator has surrendered copyhold property into the hands of other manorial tenants to the use of his children, their heirs and assigns.
