    Burial within the church of Kempston; to mother church of Lincoln 4d.; to the high altar of Kempston for tithes forgotten a 2 year old bullock; to the Sepulcar light 3s. 4d.; to the torch light 20d.; to the maintenance of the seats there 20d.; to the maintenance of the bells 3s. 4d.. To repair the highways in the Estend of Kempston town 10s.; to the upkeep of Hardwike brege and of the causeway there 3s. 4d.; to the mending of Hardewike Street where most need is 3s. 4d.; to Wotton church 3s. 4d.. To his eldest son John Hiche and his heirs the house standing by the common well in the Estend of Kempston town, and after the death of testator's wife Elyn 7 roods of arable in Hardwike Fylde in Kempston, and an acre of arable lying in Elnestow. To son John Hiche a couple of oxen. To William Hiche (son of John) 2 oxen, a brass pot and a pan. To Austen Hiche 2 oxen, a brass pot, and a pewter dish. To Thomas Hiche son of John Hiche a year old bullock, a sheep and a pewter dish. To each of John Hiche's children a quarter of barley, though if William, Asten or Thomas die without issue, then each of them to be heir to the others. The remainder of John Hiche's children to have a sheep and a pewter dish each. To Elzabeth Eche a cow, a pewter dish, and a pair of sheets. To Elyn', Dorathe and Agnes Hiche a year old bullock each, Elyn' to have first choice of the bullocks. Should any of John Hiche's daus. Die without issue, then each to be heir of the others. To wife Elyn' the two cottages standing by the stocks ("stoxes") in the Estend of Kempston town, to dispose of them at her pleasure, also to her all the linen. To son Roger Hiche the house where testator lives which he bought of Robert Bysshoppe "as yt doth appere in a dede indented". To Roger also a cottage standing in the Estend which testator bought of Bartelmew Bowghton. To son Roger the customary holdings called Braynfordes, Geynelles and Fullynges which testator has surrendered into the hands of William Deneyt/Deveyt to the said use. To son Roger also a copyholding called Lawmans held of Master Rotheram of which a surrender has been delivered to William Fuller to the same use. To William son of Roger Hiche a cottage in the Estend of Kempston town which testator bought of Roger Dowe, the surrender having been made to Thomas Newolde to that use. Howver, wife Elyn to have the profits of all the tenements and lands for her lifetime, except the house by the well. To each of son Roger's children a 2 year old bullock, a sheep, a brass pot and a pewter dish. John Hiche and Roger are for 20 years to distribute on Maundy Thursday a quarter of malt to poor people where there is most need, and on Good Friday to distribute 20d. for the souls of testator and all Christians. To Thomas Hiche/Heche of Bedford 6s. 8d. and to each of his children 4d.. To each child of Thomas Thode of Ranall 4d.. To each godchild a sheep. To each child of John Weller a lamb. To each child of Robert Elsse of Wotton a ewe and a lamb. To William son of John Else a ewe and a lamb. To each child of Agnes Huckell 4d.. To every poor body living in the East End of Kempston town half a bushel of malt. Residue to wife Elyn' and son Roger, to be divided between them, his wife to have the first choice. Executors William Burne and son John Hiche, each to have 3s. 4d.. Supervisor sir William Dewe, vicar of Kmpston 3s. 4d.. Witnesses Thomas Newolde, William Allen, William Newolde, Robert Olyffe.
