    "I bequeth my soull unto Almeghtye god". Burial in the church or church yard of Luton. To the church of Luton 4d., to the high altar 4d., and to every other altar in the church 2d.. His son William is to have half of his shop, and his wife Margery the other half. Both are to pay his debts by equal shares. His daughter Anne is to have £6 13s. 4d. on the day of her marriage, and to be kept "in the mene space". His son William is to enjoy his legacy at the age of 21, and he is to be kept until then. Should William die under the age of 21, then Anne's portion to be £10. His apprentice Richard is to have half of the testator's wearing gear, gowns excepted. To wife's son William Manyngam testator's best gown, and the sleeved coat that is being made in the shop, and the chamblet doublet, and to William's brother George Manyngam his second gown. To his wife's children Robert and Elyn' 10s. each. The testator's maid Margret to have 17s. (that is her whole year's wages) at Michaelmas next, and anything she had had before that she can keep to pray for testator. His wife is to keep an obit each year in Luton church for the soul of the testator and all Christians for 18 years at 2s. 8d. a year. The residue to go to his wife Margery, executrix, and to William Adeane, executor, he to have 6s. 8d. and all necessary costs "yff he be put to Ryde or go on any other besynes or charges" Witnesses sir John Jonson, Thomas Camfylde, Thomas Hill clerk of the church, William Bayley.
