    Burial in the church yard; to the high altar 12d.; to the church of Lincoln 2d.; for his heriot the best of his cattle, and his wife is to have the second best. To his wife for her life his copyholding and 4 of his best kine, to be chosen by her. To his dau. Agnes a cow chosen by his wife. To his dau. Alys a cow. To his dau. Joane 2 bullocks, a red hued heifer of 2 years old and a flecked heifer of one year old. [?]To Elzabeth's children John and Robert a bullock each, and the elder to have the first choice, and his wife may be able to raise them. To his dau. Johanna/Joan his best mattress which his wife is to have the custody of until his daughter is independent. To his dau. Alys his second mattress, to be kept in the same way. To his dau. Joan (after the death of testator's wife) his aumbry, also his best brass pot and best brass pan. His pewter to be divided into 3 parts of which his wife to choose one part, his dau. Jone to choose the next, and the third part to go to his dau. Alys. To son Robert Rede his feather bed, bolster, a pair of sheets and one of the testator's green coverlets, which are to be given him by testator's wife, provided he is married with the approval of testator's brother John Rede, otherwise at his brother's discretion.
