Scope and Content
Burial in the church yard of Pabenham "yff my curat will geve leve".
To wife Elzabeth all the goods she brought to him at marriage, and her whole crop in Fernediche Fylde.
Everything in his house to be divided between his wife and his 3 children, after his legacies have been fulfilled.
To the high altar in Steventon 12d.; to the bells of Steventon 12d.; to Pabenham high altar 12d. and to the bells there 12d..
To his son Edward £5 which is in the custody of sir William Slatbery, and also to Edward his house, provided he can pay 33s. 4d. to John Baynton. Otherwise he should sell his share of the house.
The £15 (arising from testator's sale of his lease of the mills to John Churche) to be divided between his three children Richard, Mary and Margret, that is to say 20s. a year during the term of the said lease, until the whole sum of £15 has been paid.
A trental to be sung for him in Steventon church.
To his wife's mother 16d. to buy her 2 kerchers.
To his servant William Sawar a pair of white hose, a shirt, and 4d. in money.
To Stafford bridge half a quarter of barley.
His executors to be his wife Elzabeth and William Mores/Morys, to whom 6s. 8d..
