    "I bequeth my soull to Almeightie god". Burial in the church yard of Our Lady in Luton; to the high altar for tithes forgot 8d.; to the mother church of Lincoln 4d.. At her burial she wishes for a dirige with 3 masses solemnly sung in the said church with the whole choir and at her month's tide a dirige and 3 masses with the whole choir. To servant William Dwy [?Day] all her shop gear with her "tenters". Also a coffer, a mattress, a bolster, a pillow, a green coverlet, a blanket, 2 pair of sheets, a table cloth, a towel, a kettle and a brass pot, 2 red cushions, 2 candlesticks, a pewter dish, a platter and a salt cellar. To servant Joan a spruce coffer, a mattress, a bolster, a pillow, a tester with a painted cloth at the head, 2 pair of sheets, a table cloth, a towel, a kettle, a brass pot, 2 candlesticks, a platter, a pewter dish, a salt cellar, and a cushion. To Cristian Burre wife of William Burre a gown lined with St. Thomas worsted, and the "tache" to it, and a worsted kirtle. To William Burre, the son of William, testator's greatest coffer, a paire of sheets, 2 platters. To Elizabeth Burre his sister a cupboard, a "harneste" girdle, a pair of sheets, 2 pewter dishes, a candlestick and a latten basin. To Robert Burre her brother the best brass pot, a blanket, a pair of sheets. To Dorothy his sister a pan, a pair of sheets, a pewter platter, a pewter dish. To Joan Childe of Barton a chaffing dish and a skimmer. To godson Thomas Rudde testator's best sheet with a black seam, and to his sister Agnes Rudde a black brass pan, and to Elizabeth Rudde, their sister, a little pan. To Agnes the wife of Robert Steven a kettle, a pewter dish. To Agnes the wife of John Steven senior testator's black gown "purselled". To testator's sister, the wife of Robert Hill, her violet gown with a black "pursell". To her son Rowland 3s. 4d.. To the wife of John Burre testator's gown of russet "purselled with oter". To Agnes Day a red petticoat, 2 pewter platters and a "hechell" (heckle). To Elene Howse of Sewell, the daughter of Thomas, a coffer next to the Chamber door, a pillow with the pillow bere, 3s. 4d. each towards the upkeep of the following churches: Pottysgrove; Westening; Stretley; Sondon. Residue to son John Burre, the sole executor. Supervisor Roger Okeley (to whom 3s. 4d.). Witnesses Master John Gwereth, clerk, vicar of Luton, Thomas Godfray, Thomas Everhed senior, John Reyner.
