    Burial in the parish church yard. To the high altar for tithes forgotten 20d.; to the other altars 8d. each; to the Sepulchre light 20d.;to the bells 20d.; to the high altar for an altar cloth for the front of the altar both above and beneath 10s.. To daughter Agnes Cowper 40s. and a cow. To godson Thomas Cowper a year old bullock. To grandson Richard Stapelow a year old bullock. To granddaughter Agnes Stapelow a year old bullock. To the children of his daughterAgnes both married and unmarried a sheep each. To his godchildren 4d. each. To the children of his son Thomas Stapelowe a sheep each. To the children of Thomas Merywether a lamb each. To the child of Luce Maye a lamb. To the child of Joanne Suddebery a lamb. As soon as possible after his burial a priest shall sing and say masses for the souls of the testator, his friends and all Christians in the parish church for a quarter of a year. 20 loads of gravel are to be "layd a brode uppon the Doweway to the churche warde". To the Causeway on Lampytt Grene 10 loads of gravel. Residue to son Thomas Stapelow and to his son-in-law John Cowper, who are his executors, to latter to have 3s.4d..
