    "I will my soull into the handes of Almeightie god and all the holy compeny of heven". Burial in the church yard of SS. Peter and Paul of Cranfild. To the high altar for tithes forgot 12d.; to the bells 2s.; to the mother church of Lincoln 2d.; "I will for to have iiij taper of the Sepulcar leght to burne abowt my dede corps frometyme that it is brought into the churche untill yt be bured xvjd.". To John [presumably Joan] Borell a cow to be given to his executor Henry Wheler until she comes to lawful age. After the lord (of the manor) has been served, his executors are to choose the next best for her. To daughter Joan Sutton of Barford 10s., 5 ewes and 5 lambs, and her husband is to have testator's best coat. To daughter Agnes Hutton of Newport Pannell in Bucks. 10s., 5 ewes and 5 lambs, and her husband to have testator's russet coat. To Cranfilde church a cow to be given to the churchwardens, which is to be hired out at 16d. a year, and the 16d. is to fund an annual dirge and mass, with the remaining money distributed among the "povertie" for the health of souls of testator and his benefactors. To the Brotherhood a cow, so that the testator might be prayed for. To Henry Borell 2 bullocks with the household standards. To dau. Alys a bullock of last year. To his daughter in law Agnes his bedding with coverlets, sheets, blankets and bolsters. To Richard Bermer a sheep. To Henry Borell his great spit with half the brass and pewter. To John Borell his little spit with cob irons and the other half of the brass and pewter. To each godchild 4d.. To each of the children of his son William and his son John a sheep. To John Bermer 5 sheep. Remainder of his sheep to sons William and John. 30 masses to be done in a trental in the parish church of Cranfilde for the souls of the testator and those he is bound to pray for.
