Notice of grievance from Charles Pell Hall of Woburn, agent on behalf of the Duke of Bedford to the Assessment Committee of the Ampthill Union and to the overseers of the Poor of the Parish of Woburn and to the Parish Council of Woburn 'I hereby give you notice that the appellant is aggrieved by and objects to the valuation listin which the appellant is described as owner and occupier of the properties specified in the schedule hereto and that the grounds of the appellants objections are: 1. The properties are land and not property other than lands within the meaning of the Lighting and Watching Act 1833. 2. The Valuation list is inaccurate in not stating that the properties are land and not property. 3. Rating was conducted on property not land.' Schedule referred to: Woods and plantations at Woburn Park of 410a 3r 31p; Gross estimated rental of 185/-/- with rateable values of buildings being 185/-/-. Woods and plantations at Outside Park of 340a 1r 4p; Gross estimated rental of 152/19/6 with rateable values of buildings at 152/17/-.
