Draft will of Thomas Puddephatt of Woburn, hotel keeper: - his sons Thomas Henry Puddephatt and Arthur Charles Puddephatt to be executors; - 50 to his wife; - "in case any question arises as to the ownership of the furniture in my Hotel" [Bedford Arms, Woburn] - to his wife all furniture etc. brought with her at the time of her marriage; - his gold watch to his son, Thomas Henry Puddephatt; - all other jewellery, trinkets and ornaments to be divided equally between his other sons exclusive of Thomas Henry Puddephatt; - residue of personal estate and all real estate to his executors upon trust for sale and equal division of the proceeds between his children, remainder to their children; - [this section crossed out] he had made advances of money to his children including 200 to his daughter Mrs.[Mary Louise] Freeman and 50 to his sons Thomas Henry and Frederick Walter Puddephatt and these sums were to be debited from any sums payable from his residuary estate
