Draft notice by John Thomas Green - "Take notice that by Indenture of the 16th day of November 1885 the Messuage & premises which you now occupy were amongst others mortgaged by Mr. George Powdrill to us to secure the repayment of a certain principal sum which together with an arrear of interest thereon is still owing to us. We do therefore give you notice not to pay any rent now due or to become due from you for the sd mess & premises to the said George Powdrill or to any other person or persons on his behalf but to pay the same rent & arrears if any to John Richard Eve our agent whose receipt alone will be a sufficient discharge" - on rear a draft letter concerning a deserter called Arthur Clark
