    Letter from Charles W.Powell at Newport Pagnell [Buckinghamshire] to J.H.Meager of Ampthill Road, Toddington: - "Mr.White of Cranfield informs me you have instructed your Solicitor to press for payment of 40 due to you on a note of hand. Don't you think it would be much better to wind up Mrs.Owen's affairs [see HN10/276/Owen] and carry out the trusts of the will of Mr.Savage [see HN10/276/Savage] before adopting hostile measures[?] I should like to see you upon these matters again before taking final proceedings against Bosten. In the meantime I trust you will stay proceedings against Wm.White" Notes on the back note that Ann Owen's will notes all estate to be divided between Savage and Meager as trustees and that Savage's will includes two mortgages of 50 each on cottages sold to Bosten "one completed Powell to money mtge paid off not sold other not completed sold for 20 Bosten purchased after deal Powell has matter in hand"
