Scope and Content
Typical matters are the status of rights of way (public and private) over land, the ownership of the sub-soil of roads and tracks and rights of way over the same. There are also case relating to matters such as manorial waste, commons and village greens, ownership of land and third party rights (easements/wayleaves) and charges re same, ditches and boundaries - ownership and maintenance, village ponds, watercourses and culverts, rectorial estate and chancel repair liability, tithes and rent charge liability, churchyards, title to glebe, allotment land, and markets.
