Common Fund Account Cash Book Summarises the income received by the Joint Board from (amongst others) the following sources: - Rate precepts from Bedfordshire and Northamptonshire County Councils; - Sales of agricultural produce from the Bromham Hospittal farm and garden; - Patient maintenance fees paid by other local authorities and public institutions e.g. hospital boards; - Private patient fees; - Bank interest on the account; - Laundry and other services e.g. sales of refreshments presumably to visitors. A bank reconciliation of the balance of the account according to the Cash and Pass Books is given for each quarter and each source of income is given a reference to the appropriate ledger Folio (not deposited). This volume was regularly audited, audit stamps appear for Bedfordshire County Council Internal Audit, 1939-41 and the District Audit, 1941-43 and 1946
