    Albion public house yard, showing part of pub left (Canvin's butchers was rebuilt c. 1936 absorbing the pub site; the site was demolished in 1974 and was replaced by Mothercare and Clark's shoes), the central building, formerly stables (became Ideal Home Bureau c. 1925, demolished c. 1962, and now on the site of West Arcade) and the right-hand building which carries a sign for T.L. Rose, second hand cycles and repairs, whose workshop is visible in the distance. The right hand building was replaced by Dynes, fruiterers until c1956, then occupied by Bedford Co-op until c. 1962, then rebuilt by Bedfs Building Society, now the Woolwich. A man (T.L.Rose) is holding a girl in the photograph; two other men are in the background left. Original photograph stamped: Charles Wells Brewery, Home Lane, Bedford Marked: "Photo taken by J.C.     NB: Following conversation with T.L. Rose's son Mr Antony Rose on 16/03/2018, the man holding the child is now identified as Mr Albert Edward Rose (T.L. Rose's father) with his two year old daughter Olive Mabel Rose. (RM)
