(2) Olliver William George de Horne Vaizey George Procter Jones, Amy Procter, Jane Procter and Joseph Procter; (3) Hugh Procter; (4) Harold Procter; (5) Hugh Procter, Amy Procter and Joseph Procter reciting: purchase by (1) through his brokers of certain securities on 28 Nov 1895 with 5,469/3/6 lent by (2); (3) stood surety for payment of 1,000 to London & County Banking Company; reciting that (4) had lent (1) $13,000 of Guatemala Bonds; reciting that (1) held a fourth share in (a)-(l) below; witnessing conveyance of (a)-(l), amongst other things, to (5) as trustees for (2), to indemnify (3) and repay (4); - agreement of 1 May 1897 between (i)-(v) and (vi) in which (i)-(iv) agreed to sell (a)-(l) to (vi) for 16,500 paid as 1,000 to (i)-(iv) before completion, an allotment of 700 5 ordinary shares in (vi) and 12,000 remaining on mortgage for not less than 3 years at 4% interest; - (vi) had agreed to transfer to (vii) benefit of the agreement provided (vii) found 1,000 cash and transfer to (i)-(iv) 700 5 ordinary shares in (vi) in his name and would execute a mortgage for 12,000 at 4% interest; - (vi) had asked (i)-(iv) to accept from (vii) payment of 1,000 cash, transfer of 700 5 ordinary shares in (vi) and to convey to (vii) (a)-(l) and accept a mortgage from vii for 12,000; - (vii) had transferred the 5 shares as follows - 234 to (i), 233 to (ii) and 233 to (iv) ; - John Goldsmith Procter had agreed to join in conveyance Operative Part: - (i)-(iv) ((iii) acting as trustees for (v)), in consideration of the transfer of shares and payment of 1,000 by (vii) at request of (vi) and in consideration of 12,000 to be secured by mortgage (engrossed and to be executed immediately after the conveyance), conveyed (a)-(l) to (vii) at request of (vi) Habendum: - to (vii), discharged, as regards fourth share of (v), from indenture of 31 Dec 1895 and its trusts but subject to and with benefit of lease of 15 Sep 1882 [see Z1118/1/21/43, Levi Ashdown now dead] and subject to and with benefit of an agreement of May 1884 [see Z1118/1/18/1] Property: (a) brick, slate and tile messuage called St.George & Dragon in Leighton Buzzard with forecourt in front next High Street and brick and timber built, boarded and tiled brewhouse and tun room with brick and tile malthouse and brick and slate stable and counting house, timber and slate cartshed, timber and tile cooperage and piggery and brick shed etc, on brewery premises with yard and walled in garden attached extending from High Street to Friday Street with frontage to High Street of 56 feet and depth of 460 feet; (b) brick and tiled messuage called Cross Keys public house in Middle Row or Market square, Leighton Buzzard with brick, stucco and tile dwellinghouse and offices adjoining also toft or paved square adjoining dwellinghouse and Market Cross ("used on Market and Fair days as the calf market") with yard and garden on other side of street (N side of Market Square) held with Cross Keys with brick and tile granary, stable etc.; (c) brick and tile messuage called Roebuck public house in Hockliffe Street (abutting on Market Square), Leighton Buzzard, with stables, yard, outbuildings and ground belonging; (d) brick and slate messuage called Peacock public house in lake Street and Exchange Alley, Leighton Buzzard near Corn Exchange with yard and stabling in rear and brick and slate blacksmith's and wheeler's shops and brick and tile dwellinghouse and shoemaker's shop adjoining in Lake Street; (e) brick, tile and thatch messuage called Sun in Lake Street, Leighton Buzzard with yard, stables and outbuildings belonging and two brick and thatch cottages adjoining Sun and brick and slate cottages adjoining last two dwellings with outbuildings, gardens and ground in occupation of Green and Rolls; with close of land called Sun Close at rear of public house with piece of garden ground adjoining containing 1a 2r 0p; (f) brick and thatch messuage called Duke's Head public house, Heath & Reach adjoining High Road with bakehouse, blacksmith's shop, outbuildings, orchard and ground containing 1 acre; (g) brick and slate messuage called Buckinghamshire Arms public house, Linslade [Buckinghamshire] at junction of Old Station Road and Soulbury Road with forecourt, yard, outbuildings and ground belonging];
