Abstract of Title of Land, late Waters', sold by Joshua Hopkins to Messrs Purratt abstracting: - admission of 9 Jun 1720 of Thomas Waters, eldest son and heir at law of Leonard Waters to pieces of land of 14 acres dispersed in common fields of Leighton Buzzard which descended to Thomas Waters as eldest son and heir at law on death of Leonard Waters; - admission of 30-31 Oct 1788 reciting surrender out of court of 22 Jun 1787 by Thomas Waters and Catherine, his wife, John Newman and Mary, his wife, Ann Walter of Grove [Buckinghamshire], widow of Thomas Walter and Thomas Meacher of 3.5 acres of land in open field of Leighton Buzzard and one land in Grovebury Field shooting into Dunstable Highway with land of William Griffin E and John Franklin W to use of John Newman, but he did not come to be admitted; admission occurred on 30-31 Oct 1788
