    Judicial Business - Examinations and Depositions: Other offences: - Information of Anthony Hart of Soulbury, Bucks, game keeper to Hon. Elizabeth Leigh, Lady of the Manor of Leighton Buzzard, sworn before Sir William Norcliffe and [?], Justices of the Peace. "The Informant deposeth... that betwixt three and four of the Clock in the Morning of this present Day, being in a Wood called LIttle Kinsg Wood, parcell of the Demesnes of the said Mannor, together with John Finney and John Peake his Servants, he heard a Noise and heard a Hare Cry And running that way from whence the Noise came he met the said John Peel his Servant who told this Informant that there was a Hare taken in a Nett in Zacharias Faunches Cloase near the said Wood and parcell of the said Mannor, hee. this Informant went up to the Nett to take it up and there found one William Peel of Ramimarde in ...Soulsbury..with the nett and afterwards Adam Buckett came up who told him..he should not have the nett and opposed this Informant in takeing away the...nett, saying they had more to do there than this Informant had." Anthony Hart took away the net and cutt it in pieces, and said "that there was one Henry Faunch then present with them with Doggs and a Staff." The Constable was called and anoth Hay Net was found at Henry Faunches house and Heath and Reach. 25th August 1714. Signed. - Information of John Finney, servant to Anthony Hart, sworn before Sir William Norcliffe and [?], Justices of the Peace. When he heard the hare cry he "went up to a stile at Zacharias Faunches Cloase aforesaid near the aforesaid Wood and there he saw the said Adam Buckett of Leighton take a Hare of out a Hay Nett And this Informant said to him, what do you do there do you make killing of Hares then Buckett answered what is that to you, And then Buckett walked off with the Hare" 25 August 1714.
