    Abstract of Title of Charles Wells Limited to freehold property known as Live & Let Live, 12 Allhallows Lane, Bedford; abstracted by Tebbs & Son of Bedford; abstracting: (I) Conveyance of 7 May 1920 Parties: (1) Mary Jarvis of 73 Midland Road, widow; Henry Young junior of 170 Bromham Road, architect and surveyor; (2) Charles Wells Limited Reciting [amongst other things not relevant to this title]: - Robert Page Jarvis of Bedford, brewer and Walter Jarvis of Bedford, brewer carried on business of brewers and wine and spirit merchants together as Jarvis & Company and were seised before the death of Robert Page Jarvis of certain properties, among which as Live & Let Live, Allhallows Lane, Bedford; - death of Robert Page Jarvis on 9 Feb 1912 having appointed his wife Louisa Jarvis and John James Bedney Arter executors of his will of 3 Sep 1898 which was proved on 9 Mar 1912 in PPR by John James Bedney Arter, his widow not proving it before her death on 15 Oct 1915; - will of William Jarvis of 20 Oct 1914 appointing (1) his executors and trustees and, amongst other things, devising all his real estate to them upon trust for sale; - death of William Jarvis on 2 Jan 1915 and proof of his will in Northampton DPR on 10 Apr 1915; - Conveyance of 4 Dec 1915 (1) John James Bedney Arter; (2) Mary Jarvis; Henry Young in which part share of Robert Page Jarvis was released to (2); - Mary Jarvis and Henry Young had carried on business of Jarvis & Company; - conditional contract of 20 Sep 1917 in which Mary Jarvis and Henry Young agreed to sell the business to Charles Wells Limited for 90,000; - Order in Chancery of 29 Oct 1917 in action of Arnold v.Jarvis regarding estate of William Jarvis, deceased, (1915.J.No.1918) in which Mary Ann Arnold as tenant for life under will of William Jarvis was plaintiff and Mary Jarvis and Henry Young defendants, ordering conditional contract as varied thereby should be carried into effect and purchase money paid into court; - purchase price eventually approved by and paid into Court; - enfranchisement of 6 Aug 1918; - 315/10/- remained outstanding on a mortgage of 28 Jul 1922 Operative Part: - (1) conveyed numerous (unabstracted) properties, including Live & Let Live, to (2) subject to mortgage of 315/10/- of 2 Aug 1910 from Robert Page Jarvis and William Jarvis to Walter Duffin as regarded part of the whole [not Live & Let Live]
