- will 2nd Marquis of Bute of 22 Jul 1847 devising all his real estate in Luton to use of Hon.Patrick James Herbert Crichton Stuart, Onesiphorus Tyndall Bruce and James Munro Macuabb in trust with power of sale;
- death of 2nd Marquis of Bute on 18 Mar 1848 and proof of his will in PCC on 19 Apr 1848;
- indenture of 29 Apr 1852 replacing James Munro Macuabb with John Boyle as trustee;
- death of Onesiphorus Tyndall Bruce on 18 Mar 1855 ;
- indenture of 27 Sep 1855 appointing Charles Stuart trustee in place of Onesiphorus Tyndall Bruce;
- Charles Bruce left UK in 1857 and was absent for more than a year;
- indenture of 3 Jan 1859 appointing William Stuart trustee in place of Charles Stuart;
- death of Patrick James Herbert Crichton Stuart on 7 Sep 1859 and return to UK of Charles Stuart in 1859 or 1860;
- indenture of 8 Mar 1860 appointing Charles Stuart trustee in place of Patrick James Herbert Crichton Stuart

(a) pieces of building ground being a close late in occupation of Mary Ann Allen situate on either side of a new street called Cardigan Street, Luton, containing together 278 poles as shown on included plan
