Settlement examination of Samuel Brown, labourer, late of Cardington. Taken before James Webster, Justice of the Peace.

The said Samuel Brown on his oath saieth he hired himself as a servant to Thomas Lilbourne of Cardington in the said County at Michaelmas about the year 1806 and completed the said years service, and since that time he the said Samuel Brown hath done no act or deed whereby he might gain a settlement elsewhere.
