    Probate of 10 Nov 1624 of will of 2 Sep 1624 of Francis Nicholls: - to his wife Margaret and to Thomas, Lord Bruce his copyhold and freehold lands in London and Middlesex; - to his wife and Thomas, Lord Bruce lease of his park, stewardship of Honour of Ampthill, care of his children and payment of his debts; - his wife and Thomas, Lord Bruce, to be his executors; - his wife and Thomas, Lord Bruce, to recompense his servants as they saw fit, except bequests of an annuity of 20 to William Hopley and annuity of 10 to Thomas Greene unless they left his wife's service, when they should cease; - "and for all my children, let none condemn me for their years are tender and I am not in possibility to live to see the fruits of their good disposition and carriage according to which and their several due births they shall receive respects and if in both they concur not I intend them nothing of mine"; - witnessed by Thomas Wentworth, John Craig, Richard Hodgkis, Edmund Ferrers and William Hoseley
